BACK EVAL
Designed for those therapists who have completed the Pelvic Girdle and Functional Relationships seminars,
this course offers comprehensive evaluation guidelines
for dealing with patients with lumbar and/or S-I pain.
The course includes presentation of various forms and questionnaires used in the clinic which improve intake
and evaluation efficiency.
Following this course, you will be able to evaluate
the spine and lower halfs efficiently and objectively. You will be able to summarize your results, formulate a physical therapy diagnosis, and plan effective treatment programs. pre-printed exercises consisting of stretching and strengthening of the lumbar spine and lower extremities are included, as well as report writing
formats which communicate objective data to
physicians and insurance carriers that is easy to read
and understand.
Intake Forms - Back pain assessment, function assessment, MMPQ
History - Chief complaint, neuroscan, function, observation
Using An Inclinometer - Lumbar gross, lumbar segmental, lumbar provocation
Kinetic Testing - Pelvis and feet
Lumbar Positional Testing - Motion restrictions
Prone & Supine Evaluation - Position, soft tissue, flexibility, length, & strength
Side Lying Evaluation - PIVJT, strength
Sitting Evaluation - Tibial rotation, superior tib/fib
Foot Evaluation - Subtalar, ankle, midtarsal, 1st MPT
